Design and Technology

At St Teresa's, it is our intention for all children:

to gain the appropriate subject knowledge, skills and understanding as set out in the National Curriculum
to learn how to safely use tools
to learn to think creatively to solve problems individually and as members of a team
to develop and use creativity and imagination
to develop a positive mindset and demonstrate resilience when exploring and reviewing their own skills
to design and make products for a defined purpose
to have opportunities to reflect upon and evaluate past and present design technology
to learn about and be inspired by engineers, designers, chefs and architects
to create a range of structures, mechanisms, textiles, electrical systems and food products with a real life purpose
