Epiphany Celebration of the Word January 2026

 

The Avilites planned and led our Celebration of the Word which focused on the Three Wise Men visiting Jesus. Puffins' class made and wore crowns to help them reminder this important part of the Nativity story.

Christingle Service December 2025

 

On the final day of Term 2 every child made a Christingle and before we went home, Year 3 led a Christingle service, reminding us all that Jesus is the light of the world. Jesus' light spread throughout the service and we thought about how we have 'shone brightly' throughout Advent - making a difference to those who need us the most.

Year 4 Christmas Mime Carol Service December 2025

 

The whole school gathered at church for a wonderful carol service led by Year 4. Everyone joined in the singing and it was another occasion where we were all reminded that Christmas is a time to celebrate Jesus, the light of the world, coming into the world.

Nativity December 2025

 

 

Parent and Child Advent Prayer Breakfast December 2025

 

Parents, children and staffed gathered in prayer to listen to the story of the Nativity - a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas.

 

 

 

Advent Carol Service at St George's Cathedral December 2025

 

A group of Year 6 children travelled up to St George's Cathedral and enjoyed a beautiful Advent Carol Service. Wonderful singing filled the Cathedral.

Advent Mass December 2025

 

We gathered in church at the start of Advent to celebrate Mass together. Year 6 led the readings and prayers and we all sang beautifully together.

Blessing of the Wreath December 2025

 

We have been learning about the meaning of the Advent Wreath and making our own class wreaths to use during worship time.

 

Class Saint Celebration of the Word

 

Throughout Term 2 each class have been introducing their Class Saint to the school community. We have been thinking about what we can learn from them and linking their work to our school values.

Harvest Mass October 2025

 

We gathered to celebrate Mass together to thank God for the Harvest. We collected lots of food for our local food bank and delivered it to St Teresa's Church.

KCSP Start of Year Mass Year 5 September 2025

 

 

 

 

Beginning of Year Mass at St George's Cathedral September 2025

 

A group of Year 6 children travelled up to St George's Cathedral in London to celebrate Mass with Bishop John Wilson. It was a beautiful occasion in which we celebrated the start of a new year and thanked God for always being with us.

Parents and children gathered in prayer at the start of the school year. The theme was linked to how we all need support. we all need someone to be our parachute when we fall.

Crowning of Mary May 2025

We celebrated Mary our Mother by having a beautiful service in which we sang hymns, read prayers and offered flowers.
